Following its recent recognition as one of 200 community colleges nationwide eligible for the 2027 Aspen Prize for Community College Excellence, 黑料正能量 (SCC) has completed the interview phase of the selection process led by the Aspen Institute College Excellence Program.

The interview process provides selected colleges with the opportunity to share additional insight into their student success strategies, outcomes, and institutional practices. SCC representatives participated in discussions focused on how the College supports student achievement from enrollment through graduation. Among the strategies highlighted was SCC鈥檚 success coach model of advising, which provides students with dedicated, personalized support while allowing faculty to focus more deeply on teaching and innovation in the classroom.

鈥淲e were honored to be selected for this opportunity to further share the work happening at 黑料正能量,鈥 said Dr. John Enamait, President of SCC. 鈥淭his process allowed us to highlight the intentional efforts of our faculty and staff and the success of our students, all of which are central to our mission.鈥

The Aspen Prize is the nation鈥檚 leading recognition of excellence among community colleges, with a focus on student outcomes including retention, completion, transfer, and post-graduation success. Institutions selected for eligibility represent a diverse cross-section of colleges demonstrating strong performance in these areas.

As the process continues, SCC now awaits word later this month on whether it will be named among the 25 semifinalists advancing in the Aspen Prize selection process.
