SCC to Host Medical Careers Open House
Medical Laboratory Technology is just one of the many health career programs being showcased at Tuesday鈥檚 Open House.
Albemarle, NC 鈥� 黑料正能量 (SCC) will host a Medical Careers Open House for individuals interested in pursuing a degree in one of the college鈥檚 18 health care-related programs of study on Tuesday, April 12. The event is from 6 鈥� 8 p.m. at SCC鈥檚 Crutchfield Education Center, located at 102 Stanly Parkway in Locust 鈥� site of the Allied Health Signature Campus.
Those in attendance are asked to arrive at 6 p.m. for pizza and a general information session outlining SCC鈥檚 admissions process, placement testing and financial aid/scholarship information. From there, prospective students and their families will be led on tours of the College鈥檚 state-of-the-art program labs led by program faculty and current students.
鈥淢any students know they would like a career in health care, but they鈥檙e not so sure which path to take getting there,鈥� said Tammy Crump, Associate Vice President for SCC鈥檚 School of Health & Public Service. 鈥淭his event allows anyone considering these careers the opportunity to see all of the programs we offer here at Stanly Community College and the educational pathways to a brighter future.鈥�
